Just wanted to wish all the mothers, grandmothers, great-grandmothers, and great-great grandmothers out there a very special day!

I was very lucky - I got to spend the day with my son (well, he is only 2 1/2, so he's never far!) and my mother. What a treat!

We had a delicious, extra yummy, didn't-have-to-go-to-a-restaurant breakfast, and exchanged gifts.

Craigslist Rules!

My son turned two almost two months ago, and I'm getting ready to put him in a big boy bed (my voice goes up an octave or two when I say those last three words!). I am excited and anxious at the same time, as was every mother before me, I'm sure.

Well, I'm a huge fan of Pottery Barn, but I can't afford the price tag (I called the local PBK, and for the dresser I want, it's well over $800 (!) out the door). I mean, the dresser is only 3 feet wide!

Soooo. . . I moved on to Craigslist. Now, I have used Craigslist many times before, and had good luck. But I cannot believe the luck I had getting my son's new room furnished! I found a PBK twin bed, nightstand, bookshelf, and dresser. I spent a little more than half the cost of the dresser alone, and I got a couple other items for my son's room in the process - hello, train table!. It is amazing!!

And, I must send a public thanks out to my friend, T, who called me one morning at 7:07 am. She didn't even say hello. She said "I know it's early, but you have to go to Craigslist right now. Someone is selling a BUNCH of PBK kids stuff. If I'm a fan of Craigslist, she's the founding member of the official fan club!
